DEPUTY PRESIDENT WILLIAM RUTO HAS ECHOED THE FORMATION OF A BIPARTISAN SENATE COMMITTEE TO END THE REVENUE-SHARING STANDOFF.

Deputy President William Ruto has echoed the formation of a bipartisan Senate Committee to end the revenue-sharing standoff.

DP Ruto said a win-win consensus is a sign of great wisdom and leadership, referring to stalemate in which senators failed to agree on the formula, a record 9 times.

At the same time, he has slammed at the powers that be, saying the abuse of police and criminal justice is not the reasons why millions of Kenyans voted for the Jubilee government.

“The abuse of police and criminal justice to bully citizens, threaten and intimidate leaders and now blackmail senate is wrong, very wrong and is not the reason why millions woke up early to vote for us,” the DP wrote on Twitter.

The latest comes just a day after the arrests of Senators Christopher Lang’at (Bomet), Cleophas Malala (Kakamega) and Steve Lelegwe (Samburu).
