After the mass testing a number of State House employees have tested positive for COVID-19.They are now working from KICC, NHIF and Harambee Annex.
Human resource, accountants, administration, communication and procurement departments are some of the team of employees working outside State House.
In order to tame the spread of the virus the above mentioned employees are now working in shifts.
President Uhuru Kenyatta now operates from Harambee House under tight security.
There is NO movement IN and Out at State House.Hundreds of staff and families living in State House remain under tight security and are not allowed to leave. Visitors are not allowed to enter the premises.
Basic items are supplied by a truck from a supermarket in Nairobi to those staff still living in the State House.
Top officials in the house on the hill told JIBAMBE that senior officials preferred to be admitted in private hospitals.
“We have to call KU hospital so they are admitted to a special ward so that they don’t mix with other patients. However, others are admitted in private hospitals across the city,” the official said.
State House has been closely monitored by Health Officials after four staff tested positive for COVID-19,June 11.
The latest cases are asymptomatic.
