COVID-19: 137 new cases confirmed


The number of Covid-19 cases in Kenya on Sunday surged to 3,594 after 137 more tested positive in the last 24 hours.

Speaking in Nyeri County during the daily briefings on the coronavirus pandemic, Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mutahi Kagwe said the new cases were confirmed from 3,167 samples.The Ministry of Health has tested 115,336 samples.Health CS has urged all Kenyans to continue observing regulations issued by the government on Covid-19 containment.

He has reminded people to keep social distancing and wearing masks while in public spaces remain key to containing the spread of the virus.
